Hi Gary,
Case 1 : when you select the check box "rescheduling inclusive" in IP30 & maintain some scheduling period in plan, at the time of generating the last call (status as schedule called), system will generate the further maintenance calls and put them on hold. In your case, further six calls will be generated for monthly inspection for the period of six months & will be kept on hold. when the call date reaches the date of running IP30 in background, schedule will be called and order will be created.
Case 2 : If you do not maintain the scheduling period (zero) in plan and select the checkbox "rescheduling incl." in IP30, at the time of converting the last call into order , system will always generate next call and put it on hold.
Case 3 : at the end of six months (scheduling period) when you put 6 month as "interval for call object" with "rescheduling incl." active in IP30 ,all future calls will be converted into orders and nothing will be on hold.
The implication of not selecting the check box "rescheduling incl." in IP30 will be on maintainance planning , if you don't have any "on hold" call in plan. In this case no further calls will be generated and planning will be hampered.
I think , the best way will be to select the check box "rescheduling incl." and let IP30 take care of future maintenance planning.
Best regards,
