GRC 10: BRF+ for HR Trigger and Manual Request Access

We have requirement to configure HR triggers and Manual  Access Request using Access Request Management in GRC 10.

I would like to check whether the best approach would be to use BRF+ / Functional module ??

I believe we can create BRF+ based on the Request Type to trigger the workflow  and configure paths for the workflow .. Any inputs highly appreciated
